Broadcom Netlink TM Gigabit Ethernet Driver Question

I've stumbled across this forum while trying to find out if my driver is out of date, and if so, what I should be replacing it with.

I have a new - 2 month old - Dell XPS8300. My device manager is telling me that the driver I currently have it up to date, but I question that. Here is my info:

    Driver Date: 20/07/2010
    Driver Version: 14.2.07
Several Hardware IDs are listed, and that is part of my confusion. That and the fact that none of them match the numbers on the driver page for this device. They are:
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1691&SUBSYS_04AA1028&REV_01
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1691&SUBSYS_04AA1028
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1691&CC_020000
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1691&CC_0200

I think the right driver for my Windows 7 64bit is 14.8.2.0, released 11/2/11, but I would like confirmation. And for future reference, could you tell me I have a 57785 or something else?

    Thank you!

The PCI ID "DEV_1691" indicates you have the BCM57788. The Windows 7 x64 driver will be here:

Thanks for the info. I've updated but will likely roll back. As soon as I installed the driver I started getting an intermittent humming/buzzing sound from my CPU.

Unless you can offer some insight or suggestions on why that might be?

    Thanks again.
